Frequently Asked Questions

Does Green Valley Cleaning provide it’s own cleaning products and equipment?
Yes. Green Valley Cleaning provides all of the necessary products and equipment. If you have products you wish to use or special equipment, please let us know at the time of your walk through.
What kind of products/equipment do you use?
We use as locally sourced and as environmentally friendly products as possible.  We use bulk supplies,  microfiber cloths and mops. All of our vacuums have HEPA filters.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes indeed. If you would like a copy of current documents, please contact us.
Who do you employ?
All of our employees have clean criminal records and hold a valid BC driver’s licence. Many of our employees are mothers and friends, and all have had very thorough background checks.
Are traveling expenses included?
Yes, as long as the job is within city limits of Courtenay, Comox or Cumberland. Please feel free to contact our office if out of town, we can work something out!
What type of payment do you take?
We accept cash, check, E-Transfer, and Credit Cards. We can keep your credit card on file, bill you at the end of the month and send you an electronic invoice.
How am I billed for my clean?

Our services are billed per cleaner per hour. Often we will clean with a team of two which reduces the time we are in your home or business. We may come into your home with two cleaners for two hours.

Do you have a minimum hour requirement for work?
Yes, two hours. If you are looking for commercial cleaning, please contact us.
What if my clean falls on a public holiday?
Our team members are encouraged to spend time with their own families on statutory holidays, as part of a balanced lifestyle. If your regularly scheduled cleaning falls on a Stat we will endeavor to re-schedule your clean to the next most accommodating day.
Can I be in my home/business during my clean?
Yes, we will work around you. If there is a lot of foot traffic while we are providing services, it may cost more due to time it takes to accommodate around.
Can my pets be loose in my home on cleaning day?
Yes, every staff member of Green Valley Cleaning is a super animal lover. When given direction we can even let your dog out for a pee while we are  there!
Do I need to be home when Green Valley Cleaning is there or can I give you a key/ garage code?
You do not have to be home when we clean. Actually, most of our clients prefer to be gone and have the pleasure of coming back to a clean home. For convenience, the majority of our clients provide us with a key, garage code, or special instructions for entering the home.  Green Valley Cleaning takes the security of our clients keys/codes very seriously.
What If I need to reschedule my clean?
If an occasion arises where our clients aren’t able to keep their appointment, we require twenty-four hours notice to be given prior to their scheduled appointment time. If sufficient notice is not given a re-scheduling fee of fifty dollars will be charged. This fee covers the costs associated with minimum daily pay requirements, as per British Columbia’s Employment Standards Act.
Is there such a thing as the pre cleaning clean?
HIlarious and true. The more you can pick up and tidy, the more we can clean. But please know, we are great multitaskers and can do the tidying too. Let us help.
